Goal Update #2

Revisiting the goals:
  1. 268.5 this morning.  (-1 lbs)
  2. 700 of 2000 accomplished.
  3. Went over calories 7 day of 12.
  4. TBD.
  5. Have gone to the gym 2 of 15 times.
I was chatting with a friend earlier this week, a bit morose about my lack of motivation and abundance of stressors these past few weeks.  I told her, I wasn't making my goals.  She told me, they're goals.  It's okay to fail.  They are something to aim for.  If they were something you HAD to attain, they'd be tasks. 

This perspective helped me a lot.  That and the fact that my running coach has been very supportive.  I've been used to people in the past, still some today, who, in an effort to encourage, tend to scold or guilt me into feeling bad about being human.  This has been a new experience for me, one that I am sometimes not quite sure what I should do with it. 

Monday starts a new round of challenge for Team Pink of Krista's Page.  I lost a few pounds last time, but not nearly as much as I would have liked.  The goal was 5%.  I like the fresh start and am planning on giving it a better go.  I mean, it's only 4 weeks! 

Here's to another week and a fresh start.  Every day is a gift!
